Subject: Stern Golf Fall Classic Update


Hi First_Name,

We're only 5 days away from the Fall Classic on Sunday, October 10th!  We have only 5 spots left and will be closing registration at noon tomorrow.  We're forecast to have a sunny day with a high of 63 degrees and will be joined by special guest Gary Fraser, Dean of Students.  Get excited!

Tee Times begin at 11am. We'll have foursomes finalized soon; if you listed yourself with a handicap of 20 or lower you can expect to tee off before 11:30am.  For those of you in the later groupings, we're making available a course professional to provide on-the-course instruction.

Dinner will start at 5pm in the course clubhouse and will include: Dyker dogs, chicken breast, pasta salad, potato salad, cookies, and 2 hours of beer.  We'll be awarding prizes to top individual finishers for longest drive, closest to pin, and low score.  Team winners will be decided based upon an aggregate of top individual performances.

For those of you who have already registered, we require you fill out a waiver prior to arrival on the course.  Please do so at the earliest available opportunity:

Join Stern Golf and PTLF for the Fall Classic golf outing to Dyker Beach in Brooklyn, NY!

Tee times begin at 10:30am w/ bagels and coffee
Consecutive tee times w/ lower handicaps scheduled earlier to speed pace of play
Longest drive, closest to pin, low score competition with individual prizes.
Scramble pair format available for higher handicap golfers (pair with teammate and play best ball)
Players turn in cards at clubhouse
BBQ Dinner to follow in course clubhouse where event winners will be announced

Team Competition
Four teams will be formed during a random drawing of full-time Blocks and part-time Core Groups at our kick-off meeting on 9/22.
These teams will compete for points in the Block and Core Group Games competitions.
To determine team winners, Stableford scores for top 5 results from each team will be aggregated.

This event is made possible through sponsorship from Stern Golf and the Part-Time Leadership Forum. Event includes: Greens Fees + Cart + Coffee/Bagels + Stern Golf logo tees & balls + BBQ dinner in clubhouse following event.

Transportation is not provided. Dyker Beach is accessible via Subway by taking the R-Train to 86th Street (25 min ride) and walking east to 7th Ave (10 min walk), via Bus by taking the X28 South from Broadway and Waverly Pl, or via Car by taking 278 South to exit 19. Free Parking is provided. If you are interested in carpooling, please indicate as such in your registration.
