Coffee Tasting with Joe Coffee

Join ACC and Joe Coffee for an introduction to coffee tasting through a guided virtual cupping! Cupping is a process used to evaluate different coffees side by side, used by green buyers to choose which coffees to purchase, by roasters to help guide their roast profiles, and by baristas to know how best to brew and serve coffees in the cafe.

This class will cover cupping technique and protocol, essential tasting techniques, and terminology commonly used in the industry. Ahead of the class, you will be given instructions on how to properly set up a cupping with whatever wares you have available as well as two 4oz. bags of coffee for tasting: the Burundi Kibingo and the Colombia La Familia Guarnizo!
