SGov's Diversity Committee & Stern JSA are hosting Gabriella Major, a Holocaust Survivor from Hungary, on campus next week to talk to students about her life and experiences as a survivor.

Gabriella was born in Debrecen, Hungary during WWII. After many months of living in a ghetto, she was deported with her mother and grandmother by cattle car to a concentration camp near Vienna. Eventually, her family was liberated by the Russians; they afterwards returned to Hungary, where they were reunited with her father and lived under Russian occupation. The family immigrated to the US in 1957, a year after the outbreak of the Hungarian Revolution.

Lunch will be provided.
