Join us for a talk with Stephane Kasriel to hear about his journey of taking a company to IPO and the shifts in payment technologies. 

Speaker Bio: Stephane Kasriel leads product for the Engineering, PM, TPM, PgM, Design, UXR, DS and DE teams at Meta Fundamental AI Research (FAIR). Meta FAIR seeks to further fundamental understanding in both new and existing domains, covering the full spectrum of topics related to AI, with the mission of advancing the state-of-the-art of AI through open research for the benefit of all.

Prior to FAIR, Stephane was head of Commerce and Financial Technologies at Meta. He oversaw all commerce and fintech work across Meta’s technologies and platforms. He joined Meta, then called Facebook, in 2020 as VP of Payments. Stephane was previously CEO of Upwork, where he led the company through its IPO in 2018. Before becoming CEO, he led Upwork’s product and engineering teams. Stephane was an early employee at PayPal serving as global head of mobile business development, global head of consumer products and managing director of PayPal France. He also held leadership roles at Fireclick and Zong, and was a founder of Fireclick.
