We are excited to announce our first virtual Stern Speaks is happening this Thursday on Zoom! Mauricio Mitidieri (Stern '20) and Matias Ferraro (Stern '20) have courageously offered to pioneer this new format, so please come out and show your support for them at 4:30pm on Thursday 5/7. In order to receive the Zoom link, attendees must register through CampusGroups.
Virtual Speaks Etiquette:
To maintain a safe environment for the speakers and audience members, the Zoom meeting will be locked once the program begins. Late comers to the Zoom meeting will be held in a waiting room until intermission. Additionally, we request all participants to do the following*:
1) Keep cameras on & microphones muted at all times
2) Remember that photography and recording of any kind is explicitly prohibited
3) Use the 'Raise Hand' function during Q&A or direct questions via the chat function to the host
*Please note that the Speaks Board reserves the right to remove participants if they do not adhere to the above rules.
Speaks is a student-led program that features stories from two of our fellow MBA students. Speakers deliver a speech about who they are, not what they do. We've had students speak about a personal challenge they've encountered, a unique cultural or familial upbringing, an atypical personal journey towards Stern - stories have run the gamut.
We look forward to sharing this new Speaks format with you and hope you enjoy the experience!
