Character Development Workshop

Curious about Dungeons & Dragons but not sure where to start? Join us for a relaxed D&D Character Workshop designed for beginners and newcomers. In this session, you’ll learn how to create a D&D character step by step, including choosing a class, abilities, and a simple backstory. No prior experience is required, and all materials will be provided. The workshop is focused on creativity, light strategy, and social interaction rather than gameplay, making it easy to jump in. This event is a great opportunity to meet people across programs, take a break from coursework, and try something new in a low-pressure, welcoming environment. Whether you’re completely new to D&D or just interested in learning more, you’re invited to join us.

Worldbuilding Workshop

Curious about building your own fictional worlds but not sure where to start? Join us for a relaxed World-Building Workshop designed for beginners and creatives of all kinds. In this session, you’ll learn how to design a setting step by step. The workshop will cover four tentpoles of world design: CORE, STORY, SETTING, and GAME. No prior experience is required, and all materials will be provided. The workshop emphasizes imagination, collaborative brainstorming, and practical tips for making cohesive, playable worlds rather than heavy theory, making it easy to jump in. This event is a great opportunity to meet people across programs, take a break from coursework, and try something new in a low-pressure, welcoming environment.
