Meet the Board!
 

Viveka Mandava
Co-President


Specializations: Supply Chain & Global Sourcing, Strategy, and Sustainable Business

Prior to joining Stern, Viveka worked on the corporate social responsibility teams at General Assembly and 21st Century Fox. She's pursuing her MBA to move into supply chain sustainability within the global apparel industry, and serves on the board of Stern's Luxury & Retail Club as well. Viveka graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a BA in Religious Studies, Political Science, and Global Studies.  

Will O'Leary
Co-President


Specialization: Sustainable Business & Innovation

Will grew up in the Boston area and graduated from the University of Michigan. After graduation, he worked in enterprise sales in the financial services and public cloud sectors before pivoting to the energy space. Will is passionate about clean energy and environmental justice and, in addition to his role with SISA, is on the board of the Stern Energy & Infrastructure Club. After business school, he plans to pursue a career in environmental sustainability or renewable energy.

Toufic Moukarzel
VP of Finance


Specializations: Sustainable Business & Innovation, Finance and Financial Instruments and Markets


Prior to attending Stern, Toufic was a senior software engineer at Microsoft and Robin. Beyond his professional life, Toufic is a volunteer on the Disaster Action Team at the American Red Cross of Greater New York. Toufic is interested in the intersection of finance, impact investing and sustainability. Toufic graduated from the University of Florida in 2014 with a BS and MEng in Computer Engineering.

Maddie Montes De Oca
VP of Flagship Events

Maddie is from the Bronx and graduated from Williams College with a BA in psychology. After graduation, she worked at the Atlas Foundation for Autism in roles related to direct care, data management, and research coordination. Maddie is in the Langone program and currently works in recruitment and marketing at NYU Law.

Hannah-Rose Mann
VP of Flagship Events


Coming from a family of teachers, Hannah-Rose spent the 8 years prior to Stern working in a variety of roles for EF Education First in both Boston and Shanghai. She studied International Relations at Brown University and Global Business at Oxford University. Hannah-Rose lives in Manhattan and loves reading, exploring new restaurants (with outdoor seating), and (normally) traveling as much as possible. She is also on the Board of Limitless Horizons Ixil, an educational non-profit organization based in Guatemala. 

Hayley Mead
VP of Flagship Events


Specialization: Sustainable Business & Innovation

Hayley is currently a Program Manager at Bloomberg Philanthropies, leading an initiative that creates healthier and safer cities around the world. Prior to this role, she worked on the foundation's global public affairs team with a focus on accelerating city climate action. Hayley is originally from Philadelphia and graduated from Franklin & Marshall College, where she studied public health and Arabic. 

Jean Rafaelian
VP of Langone


Jean is currently at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York in their Education Department, coordinating their Internship Program. She graduated with a BA in Cognitive Science and Art History from the University of Michigan. 

Katie Stuart
VP of Marketing


Specializations: Digital Marketing, Sustainable Business & Innovation

Katie Stuart leads Demand Generation at BigID, a data intelligence platform that helps organizations manage and protect their customer data, meet data privacy and protection regulations, and leverage unmatched coverage for all data across all data stores. In her role, Katie uses strategic marketing programs to drive awareness and interest in BigID. She joined Stern to explore the intersection between sustainability and technology and expand the impact of digital marketing. Katie graduated from Boston University with a degree in Business Administration & concentrations in Marketing and Finance. 

Marta Alvarez Pascual
VP of Recruiting & Careers


Marta was born and raised in Mexico. Before Business School, she was working in a Micro Finance Institution as a Marketing Manager. During her summers, she worked with non-profit educating kids from underserved communities about the importance of environmental preservation and better practices like composting. 

At Stern, Marta has been part of the SISA board since 2020, as well as serving as the VP of LABA in the Fundraising and Events vertical. She came to Stern to specialize in Finance, Sustainable Business, and Innovation. In her free time, Marta loves exercising, especially running. Apart from that, she enjoy museums, galleries, and any art installation. 

 

Eryn Park
VP of Recruiting & Careers


Specializations: Sustainable Business and Innovation, Marketing, and Global Business

Eryn graduated from NYU Steinhardt with a degree in Nutrition and Dietetics. Prior to Stern, she worked in the hospitality industry as a pastry chef. Post-graduation, Eryn hopes to transition into a marketing position around sustainable food and agriculture.

 

Saumya Wali
VP of Recruiting & Careers


Specializations: Sustainable Business & Innovation, Strategy 

Before Stern, Saumya spent nearly four years working at Accenture in their Digital consulting practice. Saumya is also a dual degree student with the NYU Wagner School of Public Service where she is focusing in international development. After graduate school, Saumya is interested in corporate social responsibility, sustainable supply chain, strategy work at a large philanthropic organization/multilateral institution or social impact consulting. Saumya graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in public relations and advertising and a minor in business.

Raquel Rodriguez
VP of Sustainability

Raquel is a Product Designer and Strategist, specializing in Strategy and Product Management. Her focus is on leveraging product and data to improve efficiency of and access to sustainable food and health systems. Prior to Stern, Raquel was a User Experience Strategy Consultant at Code and Theory, where she worked with upper management across industries toward organizational transformation by leveraging technology and design practice.

Martina Lee
VP of Sustainability

Martina is a dual degree MBA/MPA student specializing in sustainable business and social impact. Her background is in early-stage startups in the media and travel/hospitality sector where she did everything from creating travel guides and producing marketing activations to designing customer service processes and managing operations for an office that tripled in size. Martina is passionate about innovation for impact - leveraging technology to build a greener, more equitable future.

Lucie Fuller-Kling
VP of Community


Specializations: Sustainable Business & Innovation, Supply Chain Management, and Strategy

 

Prior to Stern, Lucie was a Philanthropy & Social Impact Associate at BDT & Company, a merchant bank that provides advice and long-term capital through its affiliated investment funds to family- and founder-led businesses. Before BDT, Lucie worked at Goldman Sachs on the firm’s global women’s economic empowerment program and other philanthropic initiatives. Lucie received her MA (Hons) in International Relations and Social Anthropology from the University of St Andrews in Scotland. She is passionate about food, farming, and the great outdoors, and serves on the Associate Board of Edible Schoolyard NYC. 

Ross Gordon
VP of Community

 

Specializations: Technical Product Management & Sustainable Business and Innovation

Prior to Stern, Ross was a product manager at Sounder, where he built podcasting tools for audio creators. Before that, he spent 4.5 years at LinkedIn, most notably working on the insights team where he leveraged LinkedIn's large professional dataset to help sales reps sell hiring products to F500 companies. Ross graduated from Northwestern University with a BS in Journalism, a minor in Economics, and a certificate in integrated marketing communications. In his free time, Ross writes a newsletter called Gridology, where he shares his process for solving challenges or exploring issues that are top of mind—be it from topics such as careers, relationships, growth, and business

Maddie Cleland
VP of Knowledge Management


Specializations: Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Marketing, Sustainable Business and Innovation

Prior to Stern, Maddie worked in international development, focusing on child and maternal undernutrition. Most recently, she led social impact initiatives and partnerships at the Office of the World Health Organization Ambassador for Global Strategy. Maddie holds an M.S. in Nutrition from Columbia University, and a B.A. in global health from the University of Richmond. She is passionate about the links between food and health, and trained in plant-based culinary arts at the Institute of Culinary Education immediately pre-Stern (and pre-COVID). When she’s not in class, she’s cooking in her kitchen in Brooklyn, New York. 

Robert Maiello
VP of Knowledge Management


Before Stern, Rob spent nearly five years working at Lord, Abbett & Co. LLC, an actively managed mutual fund company in Jersey City. He worked in a data analytics role visualizing and driving insights about strategic decisions the firm should take. With his friends, he’s also developing a mobile application that aims to socialize the TV viewing experience. Rob’s interested in merging his financial background with a sustainable focus in an impact investing role. He’s from Middletown, New Jersey and previously attended the University of Miami where he majored in finance. Outside of school, Rob is an avid sports fan, and loves exploring new places in NYC.

Julie Rosenbaum
VP of Knowledge Management


Specializations: Tech Product Management & FinTech

Julie is currently in the Tech MBA program. She is from Pittsburgh and grew up in Austin and Cleveland before attending NYU for undergrad to complete a degree in Computer Science. Prior to Stern, she was a senior software developer at Citi, where she became interested in the intersection of business, society, and technology. Through the Tech MBA and her role at SISA, Julie hopes to combine her technical expertise with a business education to pursue roles in technical product management, ensuring the next generation of tech is ethically and sustainably created.

 

Rishi Malhotra
VP of Admissions


Rishi grew up in California and currently works as a digital marketer for an agency that works primarily with non-profits & technology startups. He has extensive experience in online marketing, ranging from work with sustainable finance organizations, political groups, non-profits, and technology companies at both agencies and in house. He is passionate about social impact and sustainability and wants to move into the renewables space after graduating from Stern. He is a part-time MBA student specializing in Marketing & Sustainable Business and Innovation and received his B.A. in Political Economy from the University of California, Berkeley.
