Our next practice will be on Wednesday this week. P
lease show up if you sign up for a slot. Please be sure to read this email thoroughly, follow the instructions carefully, and act before the deadlines.
PRACTICES
We will have our practice this Wednesday from 10:00 pm-12:00 am at Chelsea Waterside Park on the corner of West 23rd Street and 11th Avenue. Please be sure to follow these items:
1. Sign up clearly on the link
here to play.
2. If all the slots are taken, sign up in the waitlist section. Remember, many people are interested in attending practice. Only the 18 players who are signed up by 6:00 pm on Wednesday should show up. We will notify you if a slot opens.
3.
If you sign up, show up. The sheet will be locked at 6:00 pm on Wednesday. If you are dropping out, please do so BEFORE 6:00 pm. Notify soccer@stern.nyu.edu not a specific board member and adjust the Google Doc accordingly.
4. Bring a white shirt, a black shirt, cleats or turf shoes, and a ball if you have one.
5. Show up at least 15 minutes early so that we can all be ready to play at 10:00 pm.
Whom we select for tournaments and other competitions will be based on a combination of skill and attendance at practice so sign up.
Columbia Tournament
Columbia is hosting their inaugural annual tournament and we have been invited to attend. They were able to get fields here in NYC so there will be minimal travel. Additionally, the tournament is only one day, on Sunday, April 16th on which we expect to play 3-5 games in a single day.

This is more than likely more than we need but it is required to hold your spot. The remainder will be refunded after the tournament. The full amount will be refunded for anyone not selected for the team.

Be sure to join our
Facebook Group, Stern FC. We will often post our formal and informal match viewings on the website. It is a great way to connect with others to watch soccer and share soccer videos, articles, and other soccer-related media.
