The Energy Career Workshop is directed towards those students who are interested in learning more about day-to-day life across a variety of roles directly or indirectly pertaining to the energy industry. The event will begin with a panel of MBA1s and MBA2s from both Stern and Langone who will discuss their experience from internships and prior jobs including:
- Investment Banking – Power & Renewables
- In Industry – Renewables including Solar & Wind
- In Industry – Renewables Development Consulting
- Energy Consulting at Major Advisory Firms
- In Industry – Oil and Gas Exploration & Production
- Utilities – Operations and Risk
Following this overview, there will be a brief introduction and discussion of general best practices for developing resumes and cover letters aimed at the energy industry as well as insights into informal networking and leveraging LinkedIn.
At the end of the workshop, there will be time for students to network with panelists and each other. Pizza and light refreshments will be served, after which we encourage everyone to join us at Beer Blast
