The Stern Student Government (SGov) is the MBA student government for New York University Stern School of Business
In recognition of the core values of the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University (“NYU Stern”) and the students’ desire to be forward-thinking leaders, the full-time MBA and joint-degree MBA Students (“students”), agreed to implement the following grade non-disclosure policy (“Policy”) with respect to grades earned at NYU Stern.
As part of the policy, the full time students hereby agree to the following:
While recruiting on or off campus, to refrain from disclosing GPA, specific course grades, assignment grades or transcripts (earned at Stern), to potential employers until a full-time, post-graduation position has been offered.
In recognition of those students who have distinguished themselves academically, the student Policy will not apply to the disclosure of academic honors such as academic distinction, Stern scholar, or TA/TF experiences.
The Office of Career Development will apprise recruiters of the student vote and ask that recruiters respect the Policy by refraining from asking students about their GPAs, specific course grades, assignment grades or transcripts (earned at Stern) until a full-time, post-graduation position has been offered.
This student policy will remain in perpetuity until and unless overturned by a future class vote. Should future classes wish to overturn the Policy, they can do so per the SGov charter and/or a student wide vote.
