Led by Stern faculty, these courses travel globally to explore the unique business models taking hold in economies around the world. Similarly to DBi courses, the travel portions of these courses take place during school breaks, incorporate program fees, and affect credit allocations of the semester in which they fall; however, the course foci are more narrowed and enrollment is application-based. Faculty-Led Travel Courses may also include class sessions that meet in New York before or after the travel portion of the course. Prerequisites vary. International students interested in courses taking place in their final semester should meet with Academic Affairs & Advising to be sure they are eligible to participate in any travel course which will affect their graduation date.
There is a Program Fee associated with each course which may cover items such as ground transportation, some meals, or other activities as outlined in the syllabus or by the professor. The Program Fee is nonrefundable after the noted payment deadline. There are no partial refunds for Program Fees; students who do not participate in optional activities and meals included in the Program Fee will not be reimbursed for any charges associated with these offerings.
Eligibility note: Langone students are not permitted to register for electives during their first two semesters in the MBA program. Any Basic Core course in which a student establishes proficiency must be replaced by a Stern Core course.
Students may only count up to two GREI courses toward the Real Estate specialization.
