Tech Week

Come learn about the careers of four seasoned professionals from different areas of FinTech, including banking, financial data analysis and security, and more. The panel will be moderated by Professor Sabrina Howell, who focuses on FinTech and Entrepreneurial Finance. Panelists will discuss their own backgrounds, career opportunities, and industry trends. There will be a short Q&A session following the panel. Breakfast will be served.

AI is changing the way industries and companies do business. It has helped doctors diagnose cancer, customer support agents focus on important issues, and Wimbledon enrich the fan experience. As an MBA, it is important to understand how the technology works, what is possible and what is not, and how much data it takes to implement an AI solution.

IBM's Jorge Malibran, an Associate Partner with the Advanced Analytics Center of Competency, will talk to us about how he thinks AI can help his clients and what they need to understand about products such as IBM's Watson before, during, and after implementation.

Join us for a special breakfast with Seth Dallaire, Vice President of Global Advertising Sales and Marketing for Amazon Media Group and NYU Stern alum, as he talks to us about his career in sales, what it takes to succeed, and why sales is one of the best roles for an MBA graduate.

Current trends see a shift away from traditional advertising to the digital space. Come hear Brett Prescott of Facebook and Claudia Perlich of Dstillery talk about how you can leverage your MBA to a career in AdTech.

The "Women in Technology: Improving Gender Diversity" panel is a discussion on how technology companies can improve hiring and retaining diverse talent in the technology world. New research continues to show that tech firms that do make an effort to boost gender diversity generate better returns than their less diverse peers. This event will be a panel followed by a Q&A open to the audience.
