The Stern Management & Strategy Club (SMS) provides information, awareness, networking opportunities and career development for students interested in careers in internal strategy, operations, corporate finance, general management, and rotational/leadership development programs across a variety of industries.
Mission
Our goal is to prepare our members to recruit and succeed in strategy, rotational, corporate finance, and management careers. We accomplish this by:
★ Building and maintaining strong relationships with the Stern alumni network and the premier employers for these programs
★ Sharing knowledge through a mentoring program and events such as career panels, networking practice, and interview preparation sessions
★ Fostering a community with professional networking sessions and social functions
Career Development
At the beginning of the Fall semester, incoming members will be assigned an MBA2 study group mentor based on what function and industry they are interested in. Throughout the recruiting process, members will meet with their mentor with a small group of other students to practice and apply knowledge learned in bootcamp sessions to prepare for the application process, networking, and interview.
Networking and Community
SMS maintains an active community that shares information on job offers, interview preparation, and their work and internship experiences.
